Job Duties
- Primary goal is to process orders at a 99.9% accuracy rate. It is the Fulfillment Specialist’s responsibility to ensure that all orders are accurately filled using the warehouse scanners along with his or her own accuracy system or method.
- Ensure safe , orderly , efficient warehouse operations and maintenance on a daily basis. Tools and equipment are put away at the end of the day. Warehouse is swept and inventory – inventory shelving is organized daily.
- Receipt of inventory. The Fulfillment Specialist will use the warehouse scanners along with his or her own accuracy method to ensure incoming inventory is correct in count, description, and physical appearance. Fulfillment Specialist is to notate and/or notify purchasing of any inaccuracies.
- The Fulfillment Specialist manages the warehouse supplies. Keeps a log of what supplies are needed and places one order a month. Monthly orders are approved by bookkeeper to ensure budget is being met. When emergency orders arise due to special projects, etc., Fulfillment Specialist will get authorization from bookkeeper to place orders outside of monthly needs
- The Fulfillment Specialist must be able to lift at least 70lbs to a height of 3-4 feet on to shelving, trucks, etc. Any items above 70lbs must be moved using a forklift and other available mobile equipment.
- Lifting, reaching, standing, sitting, bending, and physical exertion are required of this position.
- Fulfillment Specialist may be exposed to strong, but harmless smells generated from warehouse equipment
- The Fulfillment Specialist must be alert and awake during work hours/shift.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Knowledge of warehouse fulfilment systems
- Understanding / ability to perform shipping and receiving administration /data entry
- Good communication and customer service skill
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and independently
- Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time
- Attention to detail
- Forklift Certified or at least several years experience
