Bluecrew is looking for crew members to fill roles as experineced Wood Workers for one of our transport clients. This role requires 2-3 years woodworking experience. You’ll need to be skilled enough to build some strange shaped crates using drawings and cut sheets. The same company has additional roles that don’t require experience if you want to get your foot in the door and start learning. Role Summary: Able to build custom crates using drawings and cut sheets.
Responsibilities
- Able to recognize errors in above mentioned documents
- Able to build and pack crates
- Able to repair crates and build bases
- Able to use hand tools and pneumatic tools such as drills and impacts
- Packs shipping containers for domestic and export shipping
- Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift
- Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or substandard warehouse equipment
- There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
