Requirements:
- Distribution/warehouse professional with 3-5 years of lead or managerial experience with full warehouse responsibility
- Strong management skills and ability to train, motivate and develop staff
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong computer skills: MS Office, SAP a plus but not required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis
Responsibilities:
- Ensure order due dates and receiving deadlines are met with no sacrifice of quality standards
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities under fluctuating workloads
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly
- Ensure continuity of the warehouse operations
- Ensure compliance with cost objectives
- Ensure inventory accuracy
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems
- Effective supervision of Logistics personnel including performance reviews, training, development and motivation
- Train and maintain all employees on OSHA and DOT requirements; Ensure compliance with health & safety guidelines and procedures
- Ensure proper maintenance of building
