Shipping Assistant Summary: This is a seasonal role with a possibility of extending the assignment. You will work in conjunction with the distribution team assisting in the packaging and shipping of customer orders that meet our clients shipping and service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare (picking and packing) customer orders for shipment, both domestic and international
• Prepare shipments for returning product to vendor
• Work with shipping couriers
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to speak effectively to co-workers to achieve a desired result
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Ability to identify and resolve issues
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Experience or license in handling guided order picker, forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
