The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory count and location of all products in warehouse. Duties include performing cycle counts, ensuring all products are in the correct location, researching inventory discrepancies, managing damaged and returned product and communicating inventory issues to warehouse management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes cycle counts on a daily/weekly basis
- Collects damaged products and returns; includes collecting return slips, restocking returned products, updating inventory counts and updating damaged logs
- Restocks mispicks and updates inventory
Completes Inventory Inspection Request (IIR) tasks including the following:
- Checks locations listed on IIR forms
- Accurately counts locations and properly completes necessary spreadsheets and other related documentation and updates system
- Checks for product expiration dates
Performs reserve check tasks including the following:
- Checks all reserve locations per aisle via printed spreadsheets
- Cross references spreadsheet data with physical product
- Updates spreadsheet to reflect accurate information
- Lists all information found for products in empty reserve slots
Regularly walk through all the aisles of the warehouse to:
- Pull out any damaged product for repacking
- Move product to correct locations as needed
- Ensure no product is on the floor
Assist with other duties as assigned by management
